Temple Lifts is currently looking to recruit a Construction Assistant to join our existing passionate Lift Installation teams, to support the increasing number of sales of quality new lift products, across the London & South East area.
You will have/be:
- Ideally, although not essential, already possess a CSCS card and some experience in the construction environment
- An understanding and respect for the importance of safety and safe working, including the acceptance of the use and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplied by the Company
- Full manual dexterity and a good level of fitness, this job requires significant physical activity and confidence in working at height and manual handling is necessary
- Flexible in terms of travelling and working on different project sites and with different customers
- Good communicator and team worker with a cheerful professional approach to colleagues and customers
- A reasonable and safe working standard of English
- Ideally, some GCSEs including maths and English
- Undertaking and completing installation work within the allotted hours and to a high standard and with a quality finish
- Although training will be provided, once trained, the ability to work confidently on tasks without constant supervision
- Liaising with your Manager and team colleagues in the day-to-day running of jobs
- Completion and submission of all relevant online forms or paperwork and reports
- Maintaining good housekeeping and work standards on-site
- Where appropriate, a willingness to participate in periodic overtime where necessary
- Live within the London / SE postcode area
- Ideally a full driving license, or learning to drive, mobility will be an advantage
- Entitled to work in the United Kingdom
- Immediate start available
- Subject to a six-month probationary period
Your responsibilities will include:
- Safe working, at all times, in accordance with our safety procedures
- Working in a team to complete lift installation programs
- Working safely, but efficiently
- Completion and submission of all relevant processes online or paperwork and reports
- Adhere to Temple Lifts’ procedures and policies
- Maintain good housekeeping and work standards on-site
