REGENERATIVE DRIVES
Today, lifts have the ability to give energy back – regenerative drives work by converting the gravitational energy generated when the lift is going down into electricity that can be sent back to the electricity grid. Therefore, instead of the energy being wasted, the electric energy is re-used in other parts of the building where the lift is located.
The benefits of regenerative drive technology include a reduction in heat generation and lower utility bills.
