Temple Lifts have recently completed a very interesting job… underground!
We were commissioned by our client to refurbish a lift in a famous historic environment – Clapham South Deep Level tunnel. Originally created for use during World War II as an air raid shelter, Temple Lifts were commissioned to bring the Clapham South entrance lift back into a fully useable state, after being out of service for a long period of time.
Since the refurbishment works have been completed, the lift is now reliably functioning, easily transporting materials and staff who are in the process of transforming the tunnel into a museum.
For further details on the lift refurbishment process, see the full project reference coming soon!
