Moving Fast with Waitrose Store Acquisitions
In late 2008, we were asked to help on a fast track store acquisition project with the John Lewis Partnership. This was to undertake a group of competitive lift refurbishments in time for their lucrative Christmas trading.
The Temple Response
The response from Temple Lifts, and the subsequent project, was led by our joint MDs.
We fully engaged; and focused our resources for rapid site surveys and adaptations to site works, to ensure tight time frames were achieved.
We finished on time, at a fixed price, despite modifying our site works later on to support store stocking for opening. Our approach and attitude as a reliable project partner won us on-going lift works in many further acquisition programmes, on a negotiated price basis, and subsequently follow-on servicing of the lifts.
Trusted with Existing Stores
By the early part of 2013 we had undertaken lift works from Glasgow to the South coast including work at the flagship Peter Jones store in Chelsea. We are now providing comprehensive servicing across 69 stores nationally with a 98% attendance KPI and keeping average breakdowns to less than two per annum across the portfolio. This generic growth with JLP / Waitrose has been built on performance and client preference.
“For me, it’s always a double-edged sword recommending Temple because without doubt they are the John Lewis Partnership’s preferred lift contractor and I almost don’t want to give away the secret – but yes, I would recommend Temple Lifts, definitely.”
